Class Workout
Today in my 8 a.m. class, Applied Principles of Exercise with Mrs. Saeler, we did a small cardio workout followed by PNF partner stretches and foam roller stretches. The cardio workout was done with a partner, where one partner started jump roping while the other ran a lap around the indoor grasstext track. When the partner who ran the lap was done with that, they came in and jump roped while the partner who was jump roping runs a lap. Each partner went through the sequence four times for each of the exercises. After this, we performed PNF whole body stretches starting with the neck and ending with the ankles. PNF stretching is a great, maybe even one of the best ways an individual can perform stretches and get better flexibility. After this, we perform some foam roller stretches, as well as lacrosse ball stretches starting with the back for foam rollers and working down to the feet with the lacrosse ball. We have worked on these types of stretches throughout the semester in this class and I've learned a lot about the different ways it can improve flexibility and help with overall soreness of the body. I always enjoy this class!

Logan's Birthday
Today is the 28th of November, which means my nephew, Logan, is 6 months old today! I can not believe that my baby nephew is already half a year old already! Logan is my absolute favorite thing on this earth and he completely stole my heart since the day he was born. He is growing up way too fast, and soon enough he is going to be one year old, which is just crazy. If you know me at all, you know that I am literally obsessed with him and always brag and talk about him because he is just the cutest thing. I never expected to be an Aunt this early because my sister had just recently graduated from college and when she told me I just couldn't believe it! But, Logan is here now and has completely stolen my heart!

Hunting Season!
As most of us know, the first day of hunting season was today! I, actually, have never been hunting before until today! So, that was really fun and interesting to see what all the fuss is about and I actually really enjoyed it. My boyfriend, CJ, and I woke up bright and early this morning at 5:30 a.m. to ensure that we were up and ready for the first day, which I honestly was not too fond of. However, it was definitely worth it because I had a lot of fun and he showed me the pretty much the basics, which are to just sit there and be patient. We ended up staying out until 4:30 p.m. today and unfortunately, we did not get anything. I will not be able to go again though since I am back at school after such a great Thanksgiving break, but he will still be out and about so I am still wishing him luck and hope he gets a good one!

Handball in Class
On Monday, November 20th, my class played a game of handball, which was fun! The class is called Wellness Through Movement taught by Dr. Kovacs. Over the previous week we learned about the basic rules, concepts and performed drills to practice the game. Dr. Kovacs split us up into novice teams and advanced teams, but we got to pick which team we wanted to participate as. I chose to be a novice player because I have never played the game of handball before and was not too familiar with the rules. However, I did play soccer, which handball is very similar to, but it was still fairly different and I haven't played a team sport in a while! It was definitely fun and exciting getting to play with my team and other classmates as opponents!
